    Your opportunity

    Our Guelph office is looking for a Accounting Manager to join the Outsourcing team and own the following responsibilities:

    • Provide technical and project management leadership to team members for bookkeeping related engagements
    • Thorough review of accounting and bookkeeping assignments to ensure quality standards and processes are met
    • Effective communication with clients, partners and staff to ensure all deadlines are met
    • Provide coaching and training to staff members on bookkeeping engagements
    • Prepare or add input towards performance evaluations for staff
    • Occasional travel to various BDO offices or client locations is maybe required

    Your experience and education

    • A minimum of 5+ years of progressive, full-cycle accounting or bookkeeping experience (prior experience in public accounting is an asset)
    • Working knowledge of bookkeeping for multiple industries is required
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in addition to well developed oral and written communication skills are a must
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Sage, Quickbooks, Microsoft NAV or Dynamics365 or other bookkeeping software
    • Professional accounting designation not required but is considered an asset
    • Strong leadership abilities and experience managing a team is considered an asset
