    Job Description (EN)

    BDO Canada's Altona office is looking for a contract Receptionist to help out our team during busy season, from February to May 2019.  

     

    Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

    • Receive and route calls, provide directory assistance and direct inquiries to proper department or individual
    • Welcome clients as they enter the office
    • Book boardrooms for meetings as requested and coordinate catering requirements
    • Maintain cleanliness/presentation of meeting rooms and reception area. Ensure desk area is tidy and confidential documentation are handled appropriately ie. client packages, mail, etc.
    • Ensure reception desk/area is equipped with appropriate office and marketing supplies
    • Process client credit card payments, write receipts and record incoming money
    • Assist with processing and assembling tax return documents and packages
    • Other administrative duties as required

    Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge

    • One years’ experience in a professional reception role with general administrative duties preferred
    • Prior working experience with office specific software such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with clients, staff and outside parties in a professional manner
    • Able to work under pressure with excellent attention to detail and an ability to prioritize multiple requirements and deadlines
    • Proven ability to handle confidential matters appropriately
    • Enthusiastic, positive attitude and exemplary customer service skills
    • Ability to stay organized within a busy work environment
