    Position Summary

     

    BDO Canada is currently seeking an experienced MS Dynamics NAV Senior Consultant to join our Calgary Solutions practice. The Senior Consultant will participate in billable customer projects to implement the MS Dynamics NAV solution at client sites.  Engagements will be performed while demonstrating friendly, professional, client facing consulting skills.

    Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

     

    • Act as a trusted advisor to external customers and BDO project teams in support of client ERP implementations.
    • Perform lead consultant role on larger projects where more than one consultant is engaged
    • Provide mentorship to other consultants
    • Analyze customer business needs and objectives
    • Provide in-depth application expertise in targeted business areas
    • Analyze customer business needs and objectives
    • Streamline customer business processes to achieve greater ROI within the context of the Dynamics NAV suite.
    • Provide training to client staff to perform day-to-day activities in support of ERP implementations
    • Mentoring of colleagues and providing support and guidance
    • Apply Microsoft Dynamics Sure Step Methodology to assist customers in deploying the solutions in a timely and effective manner
    • Travel to customer sites in North America, primarily in Alberta, to deliver professional services  

     

    Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge:

     

    • Minimum 3-5 years of Dynamics NAV consulting experience
    • Post-secondary education in the relevant business discipline (B.Comm.,CPA, APICS, PMP, etc.) preferred
    • Hands on experience in the relevant business discipline
    • ERP consulting experience in various contexts
    • Full cycle Dynamics NAV implementation experience coupled with a comprehensive understanding ERP applications
    • Dynamics NAV certifications will be considered in our selection process
    • Self-motivated, able to work alone and in teams, articulate, and able to inspire confidence in audiences.
    • Ability to listen and effectively communicate orally and in writing with clients and colleagues.
    • Strong MS Office skills and a strong natural aptitude for technology.

    • Deep knowledge of two or more other functional areas of Dynamics NAV such as Finance, Project Management & Accounting, Human Resources, Sales, Procurement
    • Process analysis, redesign, and documentation experience

    • Effective time management experience
    • Exceptional communication skills
