    Position Summary

     

    BDO’s Consulting Business Line is rapidly expanding its footprint across the Country and, in particular, is accelerating its growth in the Ottawa Area around the public sector.  To achieve its ambitious goals, the Ottawa team is seeking a highly-driven and successful seasoned Senior Manager to support its growth in the Ottawa area. 

     

    Our practice is diverse, and our professionals come from a broad range of backgrounds. This means you will gain experience working on a wide-range of clients with a team of professionals with an equally wide-range of expertise.

     

    The role is best suited for an individual with record of accomplishment in developing business and delivering quality consulting services in areas such as transformation, change management, organizational design and business architecture.  The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate their track record and ability to develop and grow client relationships in the area.  This is a great opening to further develop you career toward greater leadership opportunities for your personal and professional growth.

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Maintain relationships with existing clients and develop new business with new clients;
    • Drive and lead engagement from inception to close;
    • Act as a senior member of the team, coach and develop more junior staff;
    • Conduct assignments in your field of practice and ensure client satisfaction;
    • Lead the development of industry sector plans and annual revenue projections;
    • Build teams to achieve the agreed upon goals for the industry sectors;
    • Build and grow lasting client relationships;
    • Participate in the forums to develop national practices to serve these three industries and leverage achievements in other jurisdictions; and
    • Participate in the evolution of BDOs intellectual capital for the practice.

     

    Professional Expertise/ Qualifications:

     

    • Preferably a minimum of 10 years as a management consultant;
    • Preferably a minimum of 10 years in one or a combination of the targeted sector – public, financial and resource;
    • Verifiable track record in the industry including in building relationships, achieved volume of business and sustainability of the revenues;
    • Outstanding oral and written communication skills;
    • A high degree of professionalism and autonomy;
    • Strong organizational and time management skills;
    • An ability to establish strong and positive relationships with colleagues; and
    • Professional designation is an asset. (PMP, ProSci, CPA, CMC, etc.).
