    Position Summary

     

    The Exeter Office of BDO Canada Financial Services has an opening for a Part-Time Administrative Assistant on a contract basis. We are seeking an individual who has demonstrated abilities to deal with sensitive issues in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are critical, while still providing exceptional client service. This individual must be adaptable to the multiple demands of the position and must be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. 

     

    Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

     

    • Clerical duties including preparing correspondence, photocopying, filing, sending faxes, mailings to clients, banking, mail pickup and preparation of various reports
    • Receptionist duties such as answering the phone and greeting clients
    • Handling various administrative tasks, including, but not limited to coordinating and communicating with clients for appointments, work in progress, client invoicing, letters, scheduling meetings, calendar management, client and contact database management, meeting and travel coordination, various office duties, etc.
    • Filing and administration of corporate and personal tax returns
    • Printing financial statements and income tax returns
    • Providing assistance to partners and staff as assigned
    • Other special projects as needed

     

    Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge

     

    • Excellent knowledge and proficiency with MS Office
    • Experience with Caseware and Taxprep would be an asset
    • Ability to provide strong administrative support
    • Ability to use discretion and tact
    • Proven ability to handle confidential information
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Well organized and have the ability to multi-task
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • *Flexible work arrangements available, but potential for full-time hours during busy season from February to June
