    An integral part of the firm's advisory services, BDO's Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR & ED) Consulting Services team is a national consulting service with more than 80 professionals in Canada.

     

    We coach clients to ensure they meet SR & ED program requirements, file required forms and reports, and increase their chances of success with the program. Thus, successful companies can allocate additional funds to research and development activities on an ongoing basis.

     

    We are currently seeking an outstanding SR & ED Consultant to join our growing team in the Montreal area. As an industry expert, this position will provide BDO's SR & ED services, maintain relationships with clients, and drive earnings growth, primarily in the IT sector!

     

    Main responsibilities:

     

    • Research and understand the criteria for SR & ED and other grant and incentive programs;
    • Work closely with clients and consultants
    • Meet with clients, owners, technical directors and in-house staff to determine their eligibility for SR & ED programs, structure their projects to maximize client requests, prepare technical reports for internal review and present aspects financial requests to the cost team;
    • Provide superior customer service;
    • Carry out tasks or auxiliary assignments, as needed.

     

    Training and professional skills:

     

    • Bilingualism (French / English)
    • Multidisciplinary experience with strong IT knowledge
    • Strong math and / or accounting skills
    • Excellent technical writing and editing skills
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to work effectively with the staff of external clients at all hierarchical levels
    • Time management skills
    • Knowledge of Word, Excel and other Office Suite tools
    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
