    Position Summary

    BDO Canada LLP is looking to hire an Indirect Tax Manager specializing in Recovery Review to be part of our Montreal office. The successful candidate will be responsible to manage a portfolio of medium to large sized clients, across a variety of industries within the Tax service line. The successful candidate will have direct experience within Recovery Review and report directly to the National Indirect Tax Recovery Review Leader.

     

    Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

    • Assist with developing a portfolio of clients by identifying indirect tax recovery review opportunities Demonstrate an in depth understanding of the recovery review process
    • Working with partners and staff in Montreal, Ottawa and Halifax to identify and secure indirect tax recovery review engagements
    • Ability to manage multiple engagements
    • Develop the capabilities of less experienced staff through coaching, knowledge transfer, internal training delivery, assignment of challenging work opportunities

    Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge:

    • Minimum of 2 years of Indirect Tax Recovery Review experience
    • Advanced Excel and other Data Management Program skills
    • Excellent communication skills in French and English (oral and written)
    • Ability to manage multiple engagements and work as part of a team
    • Self-motivated and ability to work with minimal guidance
