    Position Summary

    BDO Canada LLP is currently in the process of recruiting a Microsoft Dynamics NAV Consultant with interest in implementation consulting. This individual will be based at our Calgary office and work with our team of professionals to design, configure, train, support and implement components of Microsoft Dynamics NAV at various client sites throughout Alberta. Travel to other locations may also be required. BDO IT Solutions is a Microsoft Gold Certified partner and named Canadian Reseller for 3 consecutive years.


    Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

    • Provide support during Dynamics NAV software implementation at client sites
    • Provide application training for clients
    • Prepare client documentation and reports
    • Provide client support and consultation regarding issues with configurations and implementations via Help Desk function, remote support or on-site support with clients

    Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge:

    • University Degree or College Diploma in accounting, business, or technology is desirable.
    • Working towards an Accounting Designation (CPA) is desired.
    • Experience with Dynamics NAV and Dynamics NAV certification is desired.
    • Experience with related reporting tools like Jet Reports is an asset. 

    Applicants must have the following essential characteristics:

    • The ideal candidate must demonstrate by their previous work experience that they are interested in system implementation and have some background or expertise in finance, distribution, payroll, job costing and manufacturing.
    • Have excellent communication and interpretive skills. Communicating with clients and interpreting their needs will be a daily activity.
    • The successful candidate should also be an experienced Microsoft Office applications user.
    • Be a committed team player. The success on each project depends on the combined efforts of the implementation team.
    • Be well organized and able to work well under pressure both from clients and from team members.
    • Be flexible and adaptable to change. We implement change for diverse clients on a daily basis.
    • Be self-motivated. Learning new skills without prompting is expected.
    • Be willing to travel up to 25% out of province to the US and other countries.
