    Position Summary

     

    BDO Canada is currently seeking an experienced IT Operations Specialist - Office Standards to join our team on a contract basis. The position will focus on planning and leading several critical office move and relocation projects for the firm across Canada. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the individual will have overall responsibility in ensuring that all offices are following Firm Office Standards as outlined in our Firm Standards document. The individual will have overall responsibility for Office Moves, Renovations and Audio/Visual requirements.

     

    Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

     

    • Assist in managing Office Moves and Renovations schedules and resource allocations
    • Engages in the typical responsibilities requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, integrating at the local office level
    • Ensure timelines are followed and met for Office Moves and Renovations
    • Ensure newly acquired companies have a clear plan to bring them in line with the Firm’s IT Standards
    • Collaborates with teams across the organization to ensure coordination and alignment
    • Assist in maintaining and updating supporting documentation for Firm IT Standards, Office Moves and Renovations
    • Lead all implementations of Audio/Visual standards
    • Continuously improving, communicating and evolving the firm standards
    • Works with functional teams on integrating improvements in the local offices if standards are not met
    • Establish and maintain regular communications with BDO Leadership regarding office standards and concerns
    • Assist with the implementation of Firm IT Standards in local offices that have been identified as not being complaint

     

    Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge:

    • A minimum of 5 years of IT Service Management experience including proven experience in developing and executing processes and procedures based on ITIL best practices
    • Strong experience leading complex Office Moves and Renovations
    • Strong leadership skills and a proven background of influencing others and leading change
    • Good understanding of Creston and Microsoft Audio/Visual technologies
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project
    • Ability to provide simultaneous support for needs across multiple projects in varying phases.
    • High energy level and creative problem-solving abilities
    • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
    • Self-motivated team player who has fresh ideas and thrives off team success
    • Occasional travel may also be required
