BDO specializes in providing Microsoft Dynamics AX value-added business solutions that are aligned with companies’ goals and expectations.

    We are currently seeking an experienced MS Dynamics 365 Enterprise/Dynamics AX Trade and Logistics Functional Consultant to join our GTA Solutions practice. The successful candidate will assist in the implementation of enterprise software for our client base. The Functional Consultant will provide expertise and application specific recommendations in the area of Trade and Logistics but knowledge of other relevant subject areas will be considered in our selection process.  These tasks will be performed while demonstrating friendly, professional, client facing consulting skills. The Functional Consultant will participate in billable customer projects to implement the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Enterprise (formerly Microsoft Dynamics AX) solution at client sites.  

     

    Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

    • Act as a trusted advisor to external customers and BDO project teams in support of client ERP implementations.
    • Perform lead Trade & Logistics consultant role on larger projects where more than one consultant is engaged
    • Provide mentorship to other Trade & Logistics consultants
    • Analyze customer business needs and objectives
    • Provide in-depth application expertise in targeted business areas.
    • Analyze customer business needs and objectives
    • Streamline customer businesss processes to achieve greater ROI within the context of the AX ERP suite.
    • Provide training to client staff to perform day-to-day activities in support of ERP implementation.
    • Acceptance of mentorship from senior members of your consulting peer group.
    • Mentoring of colleagues and providing support and guidance.
    • Apply Microsoft Dynamics Sure Step Methodology to assist customers in deploying the solutions in a timely and effective manner.
    • Travel to customer sites in North America, primarily in Southwestern Ontario, to deliver professional services  

    Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge:

    • Minimum 3 years of Dynamics 365 Enterprise and/or AX experience, with a focus on Trade and Logistics
    • Post-secondary education in the relevant business discipline (B.Comm.,CPA, APICS, PMP, etc.) preferred
    • Hands on experience in the relevant business discipline.
    • ERP consulting experience in various contexts
    • Full cycle Microsoft Dynamics 365 Enterprise and/or Dynamics AX implementation experience coupled with a comprehensive understanding ERP applications
    • Dynamics 365 Enterprise/AX certifications in the relevant business disciplines will be considered in our selection process
    • Self-motivated, able to work alone and in teams, articulate, and able to inspire confidence in audiences.
    • Ability to listen and effectively communicate orally and in writing with clients and colleagues.
    • Strong MS Office skills and a strong natural aptitude for technology.

    • Deep knowledge of two or more other functional areas of Dynamics 365 Enterprise/AX such as Finance, Project Management & Accounting, Human Resources, Sales, Procurement
    • Process analysis, redesign, and documentation experience
    • Minimum of 5 full project lifecycles, including at least 2 with a budget of over $1M
    • Ability to thrive in a virtual, collaborative organization and atmosphere
    • Effective time management experience
    • Exceptional communication skills
