    Position Summary

    BDO's Solutions practice provides implementation and support services for accounting and enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM) and business intelligence (BI) solutions to our clients across Canada.     BDO's Solutions practice in the GTA is currently in the process of recruiting a Technical Consultant to join our Microsoft Dynamics GP Practice.


    Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
    • Provide client support and consultation regarding issues with configurations and implementations
    • Implement Dynamics GP software at client sites and remotely
    • Prepare client documentation and reports
    • Analyze client business requirements and objectives
    • Assist with regional growth activities
    • Scoping of engagements
    • Assist with Business Development (including pre-sales activities)
    • Up to 5% travel is required (predominately within Canada but could be outside of the country)


    Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge


    Required Technical Skills:


    • Experience in implementing GP with a strong knowledge of various GP modules
    • Experience deploying, supporting, upgrading and migrating Dynamics GP 2010 and newer is an asset
    • Experience working as a GP Technical Consultant
    • Experience integrating Great Plains with 3rd party CRM's (e.g. Mekorma, Wennsoft, Binary Stream etc.)
    • Experience with upgrading systems (2016R2)
    • Experience acting as an intermediary between IT and Finance teams
    • SQL server experience (Experience deploying and supporting SQL Server ver. 2008, 2012 as well as knowledge of Reporting Services, Scripting, Backups, Maintenance, optimizing performance is preferred)
    • Experience with System Customizations through SQL Server
    • 5+ years using Great Plains Dynamics
    • Experience with full GP Integration project lifecycles
    • Knowledge of .Net Framework and C#


    The following skills are considered assets but are not essential:


    • Experience deploying and supporting Management Reporter
    • Experience working with and supporting Window server 2008 & Windows 2012
    • Understand network load balancing, windows clustering
    • Experience working with virtualization technologies (VMWare vSphere)
    • Experience Deploying and supporting Wennsoft Signature ERP Products
    • Experience deploying and configuring eOne suite of product (SmartConnect, SmartList Builder, Extender)


    Required General Skills:


    • Strong communication skills – Written and Spoken
    • Strong technical background and willingness to learn new skills
    • Comfortable working unsupervised and self-motivated
    • Comfortable working with clients both remotely and in person
    • Organized and has the ability to meet deadlines
    • Works well with other team members
    • Ability to following instructions and learns quickly
    • Ability to clearly document
    • Can work after hours if required
