Position Summary

 

BDO Canada LLP is currently in the process of recruiting a Senior Manager, Microsoft Dynamics with solid experience in both implementation consulting and Project Management for Dynamics GP, AX or NAV client engagements.

 

Based out of either our Calgary or Edmonton office, this individual will work with our team of professionals to train, support and implement components of Dynamics Enterprise Resource Planning solutions at various client sites in Calgary or Edmonton and Alberta. Occasional travel to Western Canada, Eastern Canada and the United States may also be required. 

 

In addition, this individual will also be responsible for managing all aspects of simple to complex implementation projects as well as mentoring other consultants on the team.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Project Manage Dynamics GP, AX or NAV implementations
  • Scoping of engagements
  • Provide client support and consultation regarding issues with configurations and implementations
  • Implement Dynamics GP, AX or NAV software at client sites
  • Prepare client documentation and reports
  • Analyze client business requirements and objectives
  • On-going client management
  • Assist with regional growth activities
  • Assist with Business Development (including pre-sales activities)

Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge

  • University Degree or College Diploma in accounting, business, or technology is desirable.
  • Accounting Designation (CA, CGA, or CMA) desired.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Dynamics GP, AX or NAV required.
  • Experience with other related reporting tools is an asset.
  • Experience with managing a project team and employee management required.
  • Microsoft Dynamics certifications are an asset

 

The ideal candidate must demonstrate by their previous work experience that they are interested in system implementation and have some background or expertise in finance, distribution, job costing, service call tracking or equipment tracking systems. In addition, evidence of strong leadership qualities is required for this role.

 

Applicants must have the following essential characteristics:

  • Have excellent communication and interpretive skills. Communicating with clients and interpreting their needs will be a daily activity.
  • The successful candidate should also be an experienced Microsoft Office applications user.
  • Be a committed team player. The success on each project depends on the combined efforts of the implementation team.
  • Be well organized and able to work well under pressure both from clients and from team members.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to change. We implement change for diverse clients on a daily basis.
  • Be self-motivated. Learning new skills without prompting is expected.
  • Be willing to travel up to 25% out of province to the US and other countries.
