BDO Canada LLP’s Advisory Services Solutions group is a full service Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software reseller and ERP business services provider. BDO specializes in discrete and process manufacturing, services industry and energy industry solutions providing clients with the pivotal support they require in reaching industry best-in-class performance levels. BDO specializes in providing Microsoft Dynamics AX value-added business solutions that are aligned with companies’ goals and expectations.

 

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager, Dynamics NAV, to join our GTA Solutions practice. The successful candidate will assist in the implementation of enterprise software for our client base. The Project Manager will manage project lifecycle implementations to a high level of quality and client satisfaction according to the BDO Project Governance framework. The Project Manager will use BDOs’ implementation methodology, ensuring the delivery of a solution capable of achieving the agreed and defined business requirements and entered agreements in a profitable manner.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Provides project management leadership for full implementation, upgrade or major enhancement projects
  • Ensures that BDO project governance framework is applied to projects
  • Ensures that project governance documentation is maintained, published and stored according to BDO Quality Audit standards
  • Ensures that the BDO Project Team follows BDO Implementation Methodology and is producing deliverables to standards and on schedule
  • Reviews Key Deliverables to assure scope and budget remain aligned
  • Reviews and understands the contractual terms and scope of assigned projects
  • Acts as client advocate
  • Participates in resource planning with other PMs
  • Provides input to BDO PMO for ongoing refinement of BDO Project Governance, Implementation Methodology, contracts and templates
  • Training of client staff to perform day-to-day activities in support of ERP implementation.
  • Mentoring colleagues and providing support and guidance.

 

Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge:

  • Minimum of 5 years project management experience including strong ERP project experience (ideally Dynamics NAV), including the management of budget, risks, resources, scope, issues, changes and quality
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant business discipline (B.Comm.,CPA, APICS, PMP, etc.) preferred
  • PMP designation desirable
  • Knowledge of ERP systems as they relate to effective and efficient business processes
  • Minimum of 6 full project lifecycles, at least 3 of which with a budget of over $1M
  • Thorough knowledge of all major project management activities
  • Experience with MS Project is desirable
  • Ability to align project deliverables and customer expectations
  • Coaching and/or mentoring experience
  • Exceptional presentation skills for internal/external purposes
  • Ability to thrive in a virtual, collaborative organization and atmosphere
  • Effective time management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to listen and effectively communicate orally and in writing with clients and colleagues.
